New bus contract and GTFS data for region 1 from 10 Dec 2023

:bus: Sydney Metro Bus Contracts Transition :bus:

From 9 December 2023, the operation of Busways Western Sydney under contract SMBSC001 in Sydney’s West and North West will cease.

From Sunday 10 December 2023 , Busways R1 will commence operation in this area under the following contract:

Contract Code: GSBC001
Contract Name: Busways R1
Contract/Agency ID: 2501

The transition will be a one to one change over, meaning all current bus routes and their schedules, including any OnDemand and depot locations will remain the same (there may be some minor changes).

GSBC001 GTFS-S API endpoint is now available on ODH

The same data will be reflected in the combined buses bundle: https://api.transport.nsw.gov.au/v1/gtfs/schedule/buses

The new contract will be available from Monday night in the Complete GTFS timetable export.
