I know you must be sick of this, but is there any ETA for the single bundle bus API availability? I have been running an application using the static timetables for over a year. I decided to bite the bullet and add realtime to it. I got over the change in the route_type field in the routes file, and the fact that the fields in the ferry files are not quoted, but I have discovered that the service_ids are duplicated within the four bus bundles, and this is a bit more difficult to deal with. I would really prefer to use the consolidated bundle rather than add specific pre-processing that will be irrelevant when the consolidated file is available.
The ETA is still a bit nebulous. There are a few other priorities in the buses feed which need fixing which means the manual buses bundle is being supplied. Note the bus bundle is the same as what I post up as a zip file. Which I thought (I can check though!) is just all the individual zip files in one.
Sorry I can’t be more certain at this stage about an ETA…
Thanks Yvonne. My application is working fine with the manual bundle. I see from the message below that there’s a new manual bundle, so I’ll download that. I might do a bit of work to try to overcome the problems with the individual bundles, as I’m only interested in the Sydney Transit agencies.
This has now been resolved and the bundle buses.zip is now available via the API Gateway/Open Data Hub. You can continue getting the by contract region files or get the whole big bundle.
Oh and please remember the ‘new’ API explorer doesn’t handle large files well.
