Wayfinding System Guide

Would TfNSW be able to release design standards in relation to the wayfinding system used on public transport, illustrating the different types of signs in use and what they consist of, similar to what TfL has done?

Hi @Christopher,

TfNSW Wayfinding team is in the process of doing this at the moment. When completed they will publish in-line with the new TfNSW Standards Team policy. So, at this stage it is unclear whether they’ll be openly available to the public.

We can keep you posted once we hear.

Cheers

Hi Marcie,

Has the document been released by the TfNSW wayfinding team at this point?

Existing standards such as Functional Spaces - Part 2: Stations refer to signage details located in “Wayfinding Planning Guide – Stations and Interchanges” yet these do not seem to be available on TfNSW Standards Directory.

Thank you!

Hi @Marcie ,

Wanted to follow up on this as well since it’s been well over a year at this point.

Thanks!
