Ferries, buses, nswtrains and lighhtrail all have rotational/bearing data, so why is it that sydneytrains don’t?
It could very well be a problem with my program, but it’s unlikely.
Anyone had any luck getting sydneytrains rotation/bearing?
You are right, Sydney Trains vehicle position feed does not provide any bearing/rotation information. I might have read it somewhere but I cannot remember. I am also curious as why it doesn’t have bearing information (just a guess, maybe because it is using signals rather than onboard GPS systems?)
That’s correct, Sydney Trains positions are based off track signals so there’s no bearing. You could always calculate it based off the last location to current location.
