Hi, The SFM22 table has Type Origin and Type Destination Values of 0 for both categories and the Data Dictionary provides no explanation - these are mostly for Manufactures - Is this an error or is there a lack of information?

Hi @gmccabe - We received a response from the Freight Modelling Team. The 0 represents a ‘null’ or ‘not applicable’ value. There is a lack of information for these entries.

Freight Data Update

We’ve updated two key freight datasets, expanding their coverage and improving visibility into port performance and trade activity across NSW.

:small_blue_diamond: Updated Datasets

1. Port Botany Operational Performance (Monthly)

  • Coverage: March 2016 – February 2026

  • Includes metrics such as:

    • Container throughput

    • Vessel arrivals

    • Load/discharge ratios

    • Operational performance indicators across Port Botany

2. Port of Newcastle Trade Data (Monthly)

  • Coverage: January 2018 – February 2026

  • Includes:

    • Imports and exports (tonnes)

    • Vessel types using the port
