When setting up service alerts in your application, you might encounter duplicates if you are using both the trip planner info API and the Sydney Trains alerts feed or other data sources. In this scenario you will need to do additional parsing and clean-up to remove any duplicate alerts.
To make your application more efficient we recommend you only use the Trip Planner API ‘info’ endpoint when setting up service alerts. The Trip Planner API should have everything you need and only using the one source will prevent duplicates and reduce complexity.
