Hi all,
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the Transport for NSW (TfNSW) Open Data Hub provides consistent and reliable access to data for users, a new platform will be implemented to replace the current platform which is reaching end of life support.
The cut over is currently scheduled to take place mid-August with an exact date still to be confirmed. We will provide you with a confirmation of the cutover date as well as more information on the new platform in the coming weeks.
What this means for you as an Open Data Hub User
The platform replacement will deliver like for like features and functionality but with a few subtle changes to how the platform looks.
The first time you log in to the platform following the upgrade, you will be required to reset your password. To do this simply click ‘Log in’ and follow the prompts.
If you are an API user, please be aware that your existing API keys will be migrated to the new platform, however you will need to save your API access keys in a secure location as you will not be able to see your API access keys in the new platform. We suggest you do this at your earliest convenience to avoid any loss of visibility of keys. This will not impact any existing API connections or ability to create new keys, only your ability to see access keys that are in use on the current platform.
What this means for you as a Data Supplier or App Developer
If you are a Data Supplier or an App Developer, we would like to ensure you are fully aware of any potential impact the platform upgrade may have on your connections to the Open Data Hub or APIs. We are inviting you to join one of the Information and Q&A webinars in June which will enable you to understand what impact the change may have so that you can make any necessary updates to your connections to the Open Data APIs.
To register your interest to participate in the webinar, please complete this form by the 19 June.
For your convenience, further updates on the platform upgrade will be posted on the Open Data Hub in the coming weeks. We recommend you check The Open Data Hub at regular intervals for updates.
We thank you for your patience while we carry out this necessary maintenance.
