This document provides a brief background to assist with the interpretation of the Household Travel Survey (HTS) data. Each year approximately 5,000 households from the Greater Sydney Metropolitan region are selected to participate in the HTS.

This dataset will replace all previous Household Travel Survey datasets and will cover data for all previous years that are on the open data hub.
This data has been revised as of 26/6/2018. The trip distance variable has been revised, leading to changes in trip distance values. The area (Area Sq kms) for the regions only has also been revised.
This data has been updated as of 24/8/2018 to include HTS data by LGA.
