Data Request: Daily Opal Trip Counts (All Modes)

Hi Team,

I am a first-year USYD student working on a data analysis project. I am requesting Total Daily Opal Trip Counts across all transport modes (Train, Metro, Bus, Ferry, and Light Rail).

  1. Granularity: Daily total (sum of all modes is sufficient).
  2. Timeframe: July 2016 to September 2025.
  3. Attributes: Date and Total Trip Count (Card type/mode breakdown not required).

If this specific daily dataset is not currently available for public download, could you please advise if there is an alternative dataset, such as raw daily tap-on counts for a single transport mode, or a live-updating API that includes historical daily aggregates?

The data can be browsed and downloaded by year-month, then the datasets have date, stop identification, occupancy range and other information.
