Realtime set numbers for Sydney Trains

Hi,

I was wondering whether it would be possible to get set numbers (not individual car numbers) for the Sydney Trains realtime feed. I am aware that currently realtime positions are reported using ATRICS and they are actually signal positions but NSW TrainLink, Metro, L2/3/4 LR, Sydney Ferries & MFF all currently have vehicle information. I suspect it is still possible as set numbers were previously also present in the 2019 ROAM data but were mysteriously removed soon after.

Sydney Ferries and Transport for NSW are working to improve the real-time feed. Set numbers will be included in the future, but there is currently no tentative date for this update.
