I am trying to follow recommended practice on trip deletions when both NSW Trains and Sydney Train feeds are used together.

Looks like you want some Sydney Trains trip\_ids deleted but identify them by “Ride ID”, “Trip”, and “Consists”, which don’t match with GTFS.

How exactly should these trips be deleted?

For example, trip “V618” appears on the deletion list and in trips.txt as a trip\_id prefix. Does this mean delete all trips that start with “V618”?

What rule can be safely followed?

🤔

Yep, you can match the “Trip” field with everything before the first dot in `trip_id` for both NSW Trains and Sydney Trains feed.
