Open Data Update: Animal Vehicle Strike - consolidated dataset

Open Data is pleased to announce the updated Animal Vehicle Strike dataset: a more complete picture of animal–vehicle interactions across NSW.

By combining NSW BioNet with transport crash data, road maintenance reports, citizen science (iNaturalist), and IFAW reports, this important biodiversity information helps reveal where wildlife is most at risk—supporting safer roads and better biodiversity outcomes across NSW.

This is such a great data set and initiative

I’m building a driver assist app for our regional bus drivers. Looking forward to integrating this data so we can advise drivers caution to help save our wildlife.
